Copyright and DMCA Policy
Last updated 27 October 2026
We respect the rights of creators. This policy explains how to tell us about content on Cutbite that you believe infringes your copyright, and how a person can answer such a notice. It is part of our Terms of Service.
1. Your responsibility for what you use
You may only upload, use and publish material you own or have permission to use: your videos, the example videos you upload to make themes, your pictures, logos and music. When the service finds material for you (stock clips and photos from our stock libraries, pictures found on the web for your b-roll, logos placed where a brand is named), it is your responsibility to make sure you may publish it in your video before you do. Where the service shows a picture’s source or licence, check it.
2. Reporting infringement (DMCA notices)
If you believe content on Cutbite infringes your copyright, send a written notice to our copyright agent that includes:
- your physical or electronic signature;
- a description of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed;
- a description of where the material is on the service, with enough detail for us to find it (for example, a link);
- your name, address, telephone number and email address;
- a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law; and
- a statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act for the owner.
Our copyright agent:

We accept notices from anywhere in the world, including notices under the EU Digital Services Act and similar laws, at the same address.
When we remove material, or disable access to it, because of a notice, we promptly tell the person who posted it and send them a copy of the notice, so they can answer it (section 3).
3. Answering a notice (counter-notification)
If material of yours was removed and you believe that was a mistake or that you have the right to use it, you may send our copyright agent a counter-notification that includes:
- your physical or electronic signature;
- a description of the material removed and where it appeared before it was removed;
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification;
- your name, address and telephone number; and
- a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or, if your address is outside the United States, any judicial district in which we may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice or their agent.
We will send your counter-notification to the person who sent the original notice. Unless they tell us within 10 business days that they have filed a court action, we may restore the material within 10 to 14 business days after we receive your counter-notification.
4. Repeat infringers
We close, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of people who repeatedly infringe the copyrights of others.
5. False claims
Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), anyone who knowingly misrepresents that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, may be liable for damages. Please make sure your notice or counter-notification is accurate before you send it.
