Cookie Policy

Last updated 27 October 2026

Cutbite uses one cookie, to keep you signed in, and a few small entries in your browser’s storage that make the studio work the way you left it. We use no advertising or analytics cookies, and no tracking of any kind. This policy is part of our Privacy Policy.

1. The cookie

CookieWhat it doesKept
sb-…-auth-token (split into parts when long)Keeps you signed in. It cannot be read by the page’s scripts (HttpOnly), is sent only over a secure connection, and only to this site.Up to 30 days, renewed as you use the service; deleted when you sign out

This cookie is strictly necessary: without it you cannot sign in. It is set only when you sign in.

2. Browser storage

The studio keeps these entries in your browser’s local storage. They stay on your device and are not sent to us.

EntryWhat it doesKept
studio:upload-notesLets an upload that was cut off carry on where it stopped: a video’s id, two one-way fingerprints of the file and a time (never the file itself).Used for up to 23 hours; removed at your next upload or when you sign out
studio.editTour.v1Remembers that you have seen the editor’s guided tour.Until you clear your browser’s storage

3. Other services your browser contacts

  • Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a person, not a bot, is using the sign-up, sign-in, invitation and password pages. It may use its own storage in your browser to do so, under Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
  • Google Fonts supplies the fonts of the animations, captions and previews in the studio, so Google sees your IP address when a font loads. The site’s own pages use a font served from our site.
  • Bunny.net serves the demo film and the example video and shorts on our front page, so it sees your IP address when they load.
  • Cloudflare R2 holds your videos and files: your browser uploads them to it, and plays and downloads them from it directly, by signed links that expire (most within an hour or a day; an upload’s within a week), so it sees your IP address.
  • Pexels and Pixabay show the small preview pictures of stock clips and photos straight from their servers, when you search for stock in the studio or bring a clip into your edit, so they see your IP address.

We do not use any of them to track you across other websites.

4. Your choices

You can delete cookies and site storage in your browser’s settings at any time; signing out deletes the sign-in cookie. If you block the sign-in cookie you cannot sign in. Questions: hello@cutbite.ai.
