Acceptable Use Policy

This policy says what you may not do with Cutbite. It applies to everyone who uses the service and to everything uploaded, made or shared with it. It is part of our Terms of Service.

1. Content you may not upload, make or share

  • Anything illegal, or that helps someone break the law.
  • Material you do not own or have permission to use, including other people’s videos uploaded as your own or as theme examples, and music, pictures or logos you may not publish (see our Copyright Policy).
  • Any sexual content involving minors. We remove it, close the account and report it to the authorities.
  • Sexual or intimate images of a real person shared without their consent.
  • Content that makes a real person appear to say or do something they did not, in a way meant to deceive, or that impersonates a person or organisation.
  • Harassment, threats, or content that attacks people for who they are (their race, ethnicity, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation or similar).
  • Content that promotes terrorism or violent extremism, or encourages self-harm.
  • Malware, phishing, or deceptive or fraudulent content.
  • Other people’s private information shared without their permission.

2. Using the service fairly

  • Do not try to get around security, sign-in, limits, Bites or the checks we run, or to reach data that is not yours.
  • Do not overload or disrupt the service, or use automated means to access it except as we allow.
  • Do not copy, scrape, reverse engineer or resell the service, or use it to build a competing product.
  • Do not share an account. Each person uses their own account, in the workspaces they have been invited to.

3. AI features

Cutbite uses AI to write captions, design animations and styles, find and make b-roll, and more. Do not use these features to make anything this policy does not allow. AI can be wrong: review what is made before you publish it, and follow the rules of the platforms you publish on, including any rule to label AI-made or altered content.

4. What you share

Some things you make can be shared with other people: an edit you share with everyone signed in, and the caption and label styles and music shared in the public library (shared unless you untick their box when you make them). Share only what you have the right to share, and nothing this policy does not allow.

5. What we do

We may remove content, limit features, or suspend or close accounts that break this policy, and report illegal content to the authorities. When we act on your content or your account, we tell you what we did, why, and how to challenge it, unless the law or the safety of others prevents it. If you believe we made a mistake, write to us and we will look again.

6. Reporting

To report content or behaviour that breaks this policy, write to hello@cutbite.ai with a link to it and what is wrong. We confirm that we received your report, and tell you what we decided.
